When I was thinking about producing art with mirrors, two of god’s most valuable creations came to my mind as inspirations. One of them is famous for being the origin of the creation. The other is the source of appreciation; the former is the warm and bright “sunshine,” and the latter is the beautiful and seductive “moonlight.” Both of them are at the pinnacle of beauty, greatness, and magnitude.
Therefore, I left the carpenter with walnut sheets to saw what I had in mind. When the wooden arc was ready, I started to carve its surface. Day and night, I used the chisel to cut the extra pieces and make flowers attractive enough for those with artistic tastes. After applying various techniques, I used a mirror to complete the circular space. When the mirror glass was placed in the carved walnut arc, I saw my own reflection in my handmade prier glass. What a good friend is a mirror… it speaks to you and reveals to you clearly your vices and virtues.
