Story of Wood Carving Box (Petroglyph)
This is how the story of this Iranian wood carving box (petroglyph) began. In the protected area of cultural heritage, called Gharghab Golpayegan in Isfahan province, there are very beautiful and valuable rock cliffs. On these rocks, 7,000-year-old petroglyphs can be seen. Each of the carved petroglyphs is a symbol of the moments of the life of our ancestors. I used one of these patterns (mountain goat) as the wooden box (petroglyph). Having prepared the small and large coils of pear wood, then I started the designs of the part on the Monabat Kari box (petroglyph). In the center of the carvings on the left and right sides, the effect of the goat carving was pasted with walnut wood. I really wanted to do my first work in this style, in my hometown and next to the petroglyph.
