Monabat Kari Book Stand (Rehal) – (Iranian wood carving Rehal)
It was the end of March when I gave the walnut wood board to the carpenter to begin preparations for the Monabat Kari book stand (Rehal) artwork. After completing the carpentry process, I draw a beautiful design to start the construction of the wood carving book stand (Rehal). For this Monabat Rehal, I designed a sketch of a deer that has a head on the sky. I also created flowers on the border to give it a sense of beauty. In another piece of wood, I drew two circles. And I design an Iranian sketch for them to make this Monabat Kari Rehal look more attractive. Then I started the wood carving steps. Since this wood carving Rehal (Book Stand), is made up of two parts, it is easily coupled through the groove embedded in it.

Mohammad Mehdi Tavakol (the creator of this Iranian wood carving tableau (Light in darkness)) was born in Esfahan, Golpayegan, on March 22nd, 1961. Since he had such a passion for art, in 1975, he became familiar with the art of Monabat Kari (wood carving).
He is delighted to have shared and extended his long-lasting experience and expertise in this field with inventing a new style of wood carving called Monabat Gereh (Knot Carving). At the Festival of New Art Ideas held in Tehran, Of the 1182 artworks, the Monabat Gereh (created by Mohammad Mehdi Tavakol) won the top rank. He has participated in numerous local and international exhibitions. Furthermore, He has been awarded at various festivals.
